Reckless Hero
Reckless Hero 草莽

The reckless hero cannot win before he transforms.  To transform, he must kill any other player.

If the reckless hero is killed, he loses.
Clarification:
  • The reckless hero must kill any other player to transform.  If the reckless hero cannot kill anyone, he cannot win.
  • When the reckless hero transfroms, he is given a deck with different role cards.  It has one king, one rebel, one loyalist, one spy, and one overlord (only if there is not an overlord already in play).  With theses five (or four) cards, the reckless hero choose one randomly (much like at the beginning of the game).
  • If the reckless hero transforms into a king, he keeps his identity card face down.  To win, the ex-reckless hero must kill the king with his own hands.  If this happens, the game does not end.  The ex-reckless hero flips his role card to reveal that he is the new king.  The game continues with the remaining players and their roles.  The ex-reckless hero then can win by fulfilling the requirements of winning as the king.
  • If the reckless hero transforms into a rebel, he continues the game as a rebel.  The ex-reckless hero can win the same way as any other rebel.
  • If the reckless hero transforms into a loyalist, he continues the game as a loyalist.  The ex-reckless hero then can win the same way as any other loyalist.
  • If the reckless hero transforms into a spy, he continues the game as a spy.  The ex-reckless hero then can win the same way as a normal spy.
  • If the reckless hero transforms into an overlord, he flips over the identity card immediately.  He then continues on the games as an overlord.  He can win the same way as a normal overlord.
  • There can only be one overlord in any game.  If there is one in play, a reckless hero cannot transform into another overlord.
  • If the reckless hero kills a rebel, the reckless hero transforms before any rewards for killing a player take place.  For example, if the reckless hero kills a rebel and transforms, he would choose a new identity before drawing.  If he transforms into an overlord, he only draws two, but anything else will give three cards.
  • If the reckless hero kills a loyalist and transforms into a king, there is no penalty for the killed loyalist.  The reason is that the ex-reckless hero is still face down and cannot transform into the king until he kills the current one.
  • If the reckless hero kills the king, he transforms before (and if) a winner is declared.  If he transforms into a king, he immediately flips the role card over, becomes the new king, and the game continues.  If he draws an overlord, he flips the role card over, and the game continues, the ex-reckless hero becomes overlord, but then kills the king, becoming king himself and forcing all remaining players to become rebels.  If he draws a rebel, loyalist, or spy, the game is over and winner is declared like normal.
